Helping Your Immune System Recover From Mold Toxicity

There are many things that keep our immune systems working hard, ranging from bacteria to viruses to a variety of toxins. Mold is one of these toxins that can be potent and insidious. Some molds are benign, while others are highly toxic and can cause massive health problems. Helping your immune system recover from mold toxicity can be a long and challenging process, but now there is another immune regulator that can help – it’s called Transfer Factor Enviro.

Transfer factors are immune-enhancing molecules that are naturally produced in a healthy body. They are produced by activated T-helper cells during an infection to target specific antigens. One of the things they do is help balance Th1 and Th2 immune responses, which are thrown off kilter in chronic health issues.

Transfer factors can be non-specific, meaning they help the immune system overall; or they can be targeted, meaning they are developed to promote the body’s response to specific health challenges. Transfer Factor Enviro is a targeted transfer factor, specifically helping the body in its ability to deal with a variety of molds. It also addresses various strains of Candida.

Following is the list of molds that this transfer factor is designed to target:

  • Penicillium
  • Epicoccum
  • Aspergillus fumigatus
  • Aspergillus niger
  • Aspergillus versicolor
  • Candida albicans
  • Candida parapsilosis
  • Cladosporium
  • Fusarium
  • Geotrichum
  • Pthomyces
  • Ustilago

The dose is 1 capsule per day in week one, 2 capsules per day in week to and beyond, always on an empty stomach. I often combine Transfer Factor Multi-immune with targeted transfer factors as studies have show they work synergistically. I had a patient the other day with Lyme and mold, and we gave her 2 x Transfer Factor Multi-immune, then 1 each of Transfer Factor L-plus and Transfer Factor Enviro. A patient with mold and viruses (EBV and CMV) got Multi-Immune and Transfer Factor PlasMyc. For mold by itself, 2 each of Multi-immune and Enviro would be a good goal.

You can find all the Transfer Factors on our online store here.

This is not a stand alone treatment for mold – a comprehensive approach needs to be taken, starting with ensuring that there is no ongoing exposure. Cholestyramine, BEG spray and VIP spray are other examples of treatment possibilities. I do think the Transfer Factor Enviro is a great adjunct because of its ability to boost one’s own immune response in a healthier way.
