The New Siberian Fir

medicine Oct 30, 2017

Today we’re going to take a negative and turn it into such a positive. At convention this year, it was announced that doTERRA would no longer offer White Fir. While disappointing to many, doTERRA’s commitment to sustainability shines here, as White Fir no longer meets their standards and therefore will not be produced. doTERRA didn’t leave us hanging though, by any means. While we had to say goodbye to White Fir, we now have the new Siberian Fir!

As discussed by Dr. Hill, Siberian Fir is actually superior to White Fir in chemical constituency, namely bornyl acetate, making it preferred over White Fir.

Native to Russia and Canada, Siberian Fir is known for its relaxing and calming properties. Siberian Fir is recommended for topical, aromatic, and internal use! Yes, Siberian Fir is the first Fir oil offered by doTERRA with internal applications. When diffused, Siberian Fir can support easy breathing while offering a grounding effect as well. Siberian Fir can help support emotions and ease anxious feelings, and is also soothing to the skin when applied topically. Taken internally, Siberian Fir supports body systems. It has a fresh, woody scent that is just lovely. It’s a great oil to diffuse as it has a cleansing, purifying aroma, while at the same time being calming for the nerves.

I also love the Breathe blend to support the respiratory system, and Balance as a calming blend; but I find it’s so helpful to step outside my old trusty favorites to try new oils. They each have their unique properties and benefits.

Have you had the chance to try Siberian Fir yet? Try it and let me know what you think!
